Amino acids such as glycine, proline, and arginine all have anti-inflammatory effects and readily found in bone broth. Arginine, for example, has been found to be particularly beneficial for the treatment of sepsis (whole-body inflammation).
Without these two amino acids glycine and proline, we would literally fall apart. So, it is no surprise that we need these two amino acids to heal, not only gaping wounds, but also the microscopic damage done to blood vessels and other tissues in our body caused by inflammation and infection. In fact, glycine is known to activate the immune system and reduce activation of inflammatory cells in your body.
Whether you are trying to heal from an infection, address an auto-immune disease, or reduce inflammation caused by neolithic foods or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, high levels of dietary glycine are critical.
To be clear: proline and glycine are not technically essential amino acids. Your body can actually make them if it needs more than is supplied by your diet. But building our own amino acids is much less efficient than consuming them from foods, and scientists believe that we probably can’t make proline or glycine efficiently enough to keep up with our body’s demand in the absence of dietary sources. And while meat of all kinds does supply both of these amino acids, you just can’t beat the quantity or absorbability of proline and glycine in bone broth, hence bone broth’s superfood status.
Bone Broth contains Glycine and Glycine is critical for one simple reason: It recycles antioxidants. It is also necessary to produce glutathione, a beneficial antioxidant and called the "mother of all antioxidants" considered the master detoxifier and maestro of the immune system.
The good news is that your body produces its own glutathione. The bad news is that poor diet, pollution, toxins, medications, stress, trauma, aging, infections and radiation all deplete your glutathione. This leaves you susceptible to unrestrained cell disintegration from oxidative stress, free radicals, infections and cancer. And your liver gets overloaded and damaged, making it unable to do its job of detoxification.
#3) Immune Booster
Bone marrow helps the immune system by carrying rich oxygen to cells in the body.
Bone broth is a staple of the GAPS diet. Not only is it easily digested, it also contains profound immune-optimizing components that are foundational building blocks for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. For example, Leaky gut is the root of many allergies and autoimmune disorders. Bone Broth contains collagen and gelatin which help heal and protect the lining of the digestive tract,
Bone Broth is also an excellent source of minerals which help the immune system function at its peak.
#4) Loaded With Specialty Minerals
Bone Broth contains ultra-important minerals in forms that your body can easily absorb: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, silicon, sulphur and trace minerals
#5) Revitalizes & Boosts Bones, Joints, Skin, Hair and Nails
Do you want to look and feel younger?
Bone broth contains collagen and gelatin, both of which help strengthen nails and hair.
As the largest organ in the body, and certainly the most visible, it’s no wonder skin, nail and hair appearance is so closely linked with aging—we can literally see the years on our faces. When aging causes the connective tissue in the skin dermis to deteriorate, it becomes noticeable in changes like skin dryness and wrinkles. Since both collagen is essential for the integrity of dermal connective tissue, supporting these molecules is crucial to the appearance of your hair skin and nails.
#6) Sleep Better, Feel Better!
Research has shown that consuming gelatin before bed helps induce sleep because of the amino acid glycine. Glycine plays an important role in the neurotransmitters within the brain. So not only will ingesting bone broth improve sleep quality, but it will also help reduce daytime sleepiness and help improve your memory during waking hours.
#7) Eradicates Cellulite and Joint Pain
Bone Broth contains the broken down material from cartilage and tendons--stuff like chondroitin sulphates and glucosamine, now sold as expensive supplements for arthritis and joint pain.
Glycine and proline are two key components of connective tissue, the biological “glue” that holds our bodies together
#8 Fights Infection (cold and flu)
Bone broth is excellent for speeding healing and recuperation from illness. You've undoubtedly heard the old adage that chicken soup will help cure a cold, and there's scientific support for such a statement.
Chicken bones contain a natural amino acid called cysteine, which can thin the mucus in your lungs and make it less sticky so you can expel it more easily.
If combating a cold, drink bone broth hot and spicy with plenty of pepper. The spices will trigger a sudden release of watery fluids in your mouth, throat, and lungs, which will help thin down the respiratory mucus so it's easier to expel.
#9 Promotes and Restores Optimal Digestion
In later years, medical scientists have discovered that your health is in large part dependent on the health of your intestinal tract. Many of our modern diseases appear to be rooted in an unbalanced mix of microorganisms in your digestive system, courtesy of an inappropriate and unbalanced diet that is too high in sugars and too low in healthful fats and beneficial bacteria.
The gelatin extracted from the bones can help heal and protect the lining of the digestive tract, which means you absorb more nutrients from foods and keep bacteria in check. If you use probiotics you should seriously consider adding bone broth.
======HEAL LEAKY GUT======
A cup a day is said to work miracles for leaky gut syndrome but it's also good for protecting non-leaky guts. The gelatin in the bone broth (found in the knuckles, feet, and other joints) helps seal up holes in intestines. This helps cure chronic diarrhea, constipation, and even some food intolerances. It has also has been said to aid greatly in healing IBS, crohn’s, ulcerative colitis and acid reflux, probiotic balance and growth.
======OVERCOME FOOD INTOLERANCE AND ALLERGIES======
By healing a leaky gut you can resolve issues related to food intolerance and allergies because they are caused mainly by undigested large food particles seeping out of a leaky gut and triggering an immune response. Broth heals the gut lining, preventing this issue.
Cellulite is the herniation of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue. Bone Broth is rich in glucosamine and related nutrients that help repair damaged connective tissue.
======WHY BONE BROTH IS A SUPERFOOD======
Did you know Bone Broth is quickly becoming known as a superfood when included regularly in ones diet?
Bone broth used to be a dietary staple, as were fermented foods, and the elimination of these foods from our modern diet is largely to blame for our increasingly poor health, and the need for dietary supplements.
Even Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is calling it "secret fountain of youth" and credits his drinking of bone broth as the "secret weapon" of how he has performed at such a high level in a period of his career when others players would already be retired.
Now celebrity chefs and nutritionists are touting not just the savory, warming appeal of bone broth, but also its health benefits: mood-enhancing minerals, digestion-assisting and inflammation-reducing amino acids, and even collagen for healthy skin and hair. The LA Lakers’ nutritionist, who makes bone broth an essential component of the basketball players’ diets, compared it to a “growth hormone that people inject themselves with” (in a good way).
======Can I just buy bone broth from the grocery store?======
Nope. Broth (often labelled “stock”) from the grocery store relies on high temperature, fast-cooking techniques, which result in a watered down, non-gelling liquid, so you’re missing out on some of the benefits of a gelatin-rich broth. In addition, unnatural additives (like MSG) and flavors are often added. If you just need a small amount for a recipe, store-bought stuff will do, but if you’re interested in the healing properties of bone broth, you have to make it yourself or buy high quality bone broth.

We offer nationwide delivery via UPS/Fed-Ex and other carriers. Bone broth is shipped out only on Mondays. Orders placed after Monday will ship out the following Monday. The broth is shipped frozen inside an insulated liner with dry ice and gel packs and needs to be refrigerated or frozen as soon as it's delivered. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for products that spoil after delivery. Since our broth is shipped frozen solid with dry ice, it should remain in the temperature safe zone (Under 35°F) until it is delivered. Your broth may arrive partially thawed and slushy- but this is okay- just be sure to refrigerate/freeze it immediately to prevent further thawing.
Our bone broth is slowly simmered in stainless steel stockpots to extract as many nutrients and gelatin as possible. It is then strained to remove excess fat and then rapid-cooled prior to being packaged and frozen for shipment.
Once your order is processed, you will receive a confirmation email and carrier tracking number once the carrier picks up the shipment from our kitchen.
We rapid cool the bone broth then cold-fill BPA-Free 32oz standup plastic pouches for maximum freshness and to eliminate spills, leaks, or cracks possible in other, more brittle plastic containers or glass.
You can place the pouch under some warm running water before reheating in a pot on your stove or you can let it thaw out in the refrigerator overnight. We highly advise against using microwave, as this method can potentially alter and/or ruin the nutrients you spent good money on.
It tastes so good most people drink it straight up but you can add your own ingredients to it, make a delicious soup with it, make risottos and rice dishes with or even make pancakes with it!
Your broth will last 7 days in the refrigerator after opening or you can freeze for up to 1 year and un-thaw as needed.
We challenge you to consume at least 8 ounces of bone broth a day for 30 days and see how you feel after!
